“My friends affectionately refer to this CD as “Katya unplugged”, unlike many artists who record pieces in studio section by section, O decided to play all the pieces straight through to see where the music would take me. To my surprise - and I think to the surprise of many at the recording studio- I played them effortlessly from the beginning to end. As a result, there is very little mixing in the final product. It has been produced almost as if I’m playing on a wonderful Steinway in your living room. I’m especially proud of Bolero, which is an unusual solo piano version, not often performed by many artists.
