Music is the passion of my life. Nothing gives me more joy than playing for people and sharing my love of music with them. It is my intention and great hope that those who hear this music will be touched by the beauty of the spirit that moves me to play it. For me, playing a concert is not just a chance to express myself, but rather to lose myself in the rapture of true beauty.
It is certainly true that I have had a lifelong love of the music and composers of the romantic era. So it is with great pleasure that I was able to record some of my favorite compositions of Chopin, Schubert and Liszt, which I have been performing regularly in recent years. There magical masterpieces evoke sentiments which run the gamut of human emotion from great sorrow to profound joy.
Katya..From The Heart is dedicated to my mother Irina, not only for her sacrifices over the years, but also for her friendship. I love her with all my heart.
